Wet Crepe

Theo has spent most of his life in California  (much of it during a drought), and it took him awhile to embrace the rain in Ireland. Now, he is perfectly happy to be rained on as he eats a Nutella and banana crepe. 

I (Heart) Roundabouts: Driving in Ireland

Just obtaining a rental car in Ireland was a challenge; even though we booked months in advance, when we arrived at the rental car location we were told that they were entirely out of cars. They shipped us off to another rental car location, where we were able to obtain a car, but because we needed a one-way drop-off on the other side of Ireland at the end of our trip, we ended up needing to drive back into Cork to exchange cars midway through the month.

Our Voyage on the Oscar Wilde

We took the overnight ferry from Rosslare, Ireland to Roscoff, France. Theo was talking about the boat trip for a couple of months before we left, but once we actually boarded the Oscar Wilde, it took about half the trip for him to be convinced that we were actually on a boat.
